About Us

Joy and Justice

As a survivor of domestic violence, Erica founded Joy & Justice in 2023 with the sole purpose of providing Joy to families in challenging domestic violence situations while using her voice to transform the Justice system.

Erica tragically lost her daughters, Cameron (8) and Audrey (6), in an act of domestic violence in 2022. She is using her passion and her experience to prevent similar tragedies from happening to others.

Joy & Justice provides opportunities of joy to children to help them build upon the relationship with their safe parent. These children have experienced struggles that most children are oblivious to, and we hope to create opportunities for them to simply be kids.

Mission

Joy & Justice provides experiences of joy for women and children recovering from domestic violence while providing education to key players in the justice system.

Values

We demonstrate our core values in meaningful activities through:

  • Providing joyful experiences to moms and children who have experienced domestic violence by funding extracurricular activities, special events, and opportunities that allow them to connect, be kids, and heal as a family together.

  • Providing education to key players in the system to change how domestic violence is viewed and to increase protections for children.

Work Hard. Be Kind.

Cameron and Audrey left this earth knowing how to live and love life, hearing a daily message from their mom to Work Hard Be Kind. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everyone lived their lives like Cameron and Audrey? Simple. Transformative. Loving. Let’s spread that message: Work Hard Be Kind in all that you do and with everyone you meet.
